Preliminary to Miss America
The Miss America Organization each year makes available over forty-five million dollars in scholarship to young women across the country.
Miss Yorba Linda and Miss Placentia Preliminaries to Miss California and Miss America
Because the program has attracted so many interested girls, in 2010 we began crowning Miss Yorba Linda as well as Miss Placentia! This affords two title holders from our local area the opportunity to begin on the road to Miss America. We felt it was time to acknowledge our eligibility areas equally, in light of our contestants coming primarily from the Placentia Yorba School District. Our program has been crowning Miss Placentias since 1934. We became associated with the Miss America Organization in 1976 and since that time we have awarded over $150,000 in scholarships to deserving young women.
